Farmers want to hold pro-Gaddafi demonstration

JINJA - About 10,000 sugar cane growers in Busoga have sought police clearance to stage a peaceful demonstration in support of embattled Libyan leader, Col Muammar Gaddafi. The farmers say they reject the central bank’s recent seizure of Tropical Bank— one of the Libyan investments in the country.
