A lack of respect for the law has triggered an out-of-control onslaught on Kampala’s wetlands and paints a grim picture of national environmental body’s desperate push to preserve the country’s ecosystem balance.
A new report titled; The Wetland Status Report 2009-2011, authored by National Environmental Management Authority (Nema) Wetlands Management Department, says 16 developers in Kampala are degrading preserved ecosystems in total disregard of court orders.
The department’s
