Man sells Shs2m scrap for 8,000/-

Poverty is driving people to do all sorts of crazy things, including stealing goods worth Shs2 million in exchange for Shs8,000! In a statement to police on Tuesday, John Bosco Nteziyaramye, 32, said he stole scrap worth Shs2 million from Jag, a company dealing in scrap and sold it at a paltry Shs8,000 because he was broke. He asked for forgiveness and said he is a responsible man. However, Jag gave him Shs8,000 and demanded he returns the scrap. When he failed, he was relieved of his job.
