Equity Bank closes two branches

Equity Bank has closed the Nakawa and Kamokya branches in what inside sources interpret as cutting operational costs.
The bank now remains with 40 branches and 37 ATMs scattered countrywide. “The branches have not attracted the numbers of accounts the bank had anticipated to get in these areas,” a source who talked to The Razor on condition of anonymity yesterday said.

“Kamokya will be merged with Wandegeya while Nakawa will be moved to Oasis,” the source further
