Plan for East African single quality mark under way

The East African community will soon agree on a single quality certification mark after the committee in charge of quality control meets in May to deliberate on the matter.

At the beginning of this month Kenya accused Tanzania of creating a non-tariff barrier by refusing entry of Kenyan goods onto the Tanzanian market through the Namanga border post.
